Victoria Cowan
Founder & Director
Victoria leads client relationships and oversees all strategic and editorial work at Wordplay Creative.
She has a knack for quickly understanding complex businesses and translating their value into clear messaging that clicks. Since founding the business in 2020, she's worked with 120+ clients across technology, professional services, e-commerce, and more.
Her background includes a Master's in English from the University of British Columbia and customer-facing roles at Shopify, Lush Cosmetics, Canucks Sports and Entertainment, and more.
She was also Saskatchewan's first recipient of the 3M National Student Fellowship, a recognition of her work in peer mentorship and community-engaged learning.
Victoria lives in Winnipeg with her partner Anthony and their soft-coated wheaten terrier, Huxley. She's a voracious reader, a casual birder, and will absolutely tell you about her identical twin if given the chance.
Anthony Cenerini
Director & Operations
Anthony oversees operations, business development, and client success at Wordplay Creative.
His perspective comes from 15+ years of building and running businesses, including a professional recording studio (The Foxhole) where he works with artists on everything from music production to market positioning.
He also spent four years in MI retail, earning national recognition for sales performance every year he was there.
These experiences sharpened his understanding of what it takes to stand out in crowded markets and what motivates people to make purchasing decisions.
Anthony performs as rock artist BIG FUZZ. He’s also a devoted dog dad and die-hard Winnipeg Jets fan.
Huxley
Chief Morale Officer
Huxley is in charge of team support, motivation, and comfort at Wordplay Creative. He's also head of security, alerting the founders to casual passers-by (especially other dogs).
A soft-coated wheaten terrier with working-class Irish roots, Huxley brings the loyalty and dedication of a farm dog, with a healthy (?) dose of anxiety and vigilance, too.
A true people person, he often demands belly rubs mid-meeting, always collects the cheese tax, and believes strongly in the power of a well-timed nap.
After 10 years of loyal service, he remains convinced he runs the place. He's not wrong.
